Microtel Inn And Suites Sayre PA

I was there for business and woke up to a roach crawling on my foot while I was in bed. I checked out right away. When I called the front desk, they said they'd never heard of this happening and offered to move me, but I refused. If one room has roaches, I feel the others could too. They wouldn't refund me. I do not recommend staying here.

The breakfast was good, with bagels, hot and cold cereal, apples, yogurt, and waffles. Staff also brought me a roll of toilet paper when I asked, since there was only about a quarter roll in the room. But basic cleanliness was a serious problem. The room smelled every time we came in. Paint chips were in the toilet paper holder, cobwebs and their occupant were behind the bathroom door, and dead bugs and dust were inside the cheap removable light covers above the beds. A moth even flew out of a light fixture while I was sitting on the bed. The hallway smelled strange, the pillows were old and awful, and the fitted sheet didn't cover one stained mattress. I stopped looking around because I would've left. The price is reasonable, but I can see why. It didn't seem like the cleaning staff were around. We might have returned if the room had been clean, but we won't. There are other hotels in the area, so I don't recommend this one.

For the area, the hotel was decent, and the room had a sofa, small dinette, microwave, and refrigerator. There weren't many toiletries, though: you need to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, and soap was limited. Breakfast wasn't great, and the coffee hadn't been made overnight. When I pulled back the sheets, there was bedding from the previous guests underneath, pillowcases included. Kimberly shouldn't be blamed, since they don't have many people coming to work there, and I don't think there are many people in the area to staff these hotels.

The place was spotless, and my room felt clean and hygienic as soon as I arrived. It was peaceful, organized, and well maintained. The staff were welcoming, polite, and professional, and the service was better than I expected. I had a really good experience yesterday and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant, reliable stay.
