Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Wytheville, VA

We’ve stayed three times this year and will keep choosing this hotel in Wytheville. The location is great, the rooms and surroundings are clean, and the breakfast is great. The lobby is always nicely decorated and feels warm and inviting. Garrett is one of the main reasons we return. He’s friendly, cheerful and helpful, goes above and beyond, and even remembers us. He makes you feel like family. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it.

We made the reservation only four hours earlier, on the same day we were driving across the United States, because the online pictures showed a pool and we planned to stop and use it. We arrived to find that it didn’t work. When we asked to cancel, the manager got very upset and said we needed to give 24 hours’ notice. They wouldn’t refund our money.

The man said the listing was supposed to say “no pool,” but it only wasn’t listed as an amenity. What should have been clear at the top was “NO POOL.” I searched specifically for a hotel with a pool and found it under renovation after arriving. I paid $150.00 and got no pool. I wish I could get my money back and stay across the parking lot. Not a happy traveler.

We came with a baseball and softball team, and the hotel accommodated us nicely. The place was clean and pleasant, and the parking lot lighting at night made me feel safe. The breakfast was the best I’ve had at a hotel in years, maybe ever.
