Arbor House South

The house was decent, and the oceanfront view was nice. But I had to leave in the middle of the night because of an emergency with my daughter, and I left my makeup behind. They initially said I could come get it, but then told me they couldn't find more than $300 worth of makeup. Really disappointing. Make sure you take all your things with you, because you might not get them back.

The rooms were clean and the view was great. Inside, the house was much nicer than it looked from outside. But the hot tub was the reason we chose it, and it didn't work. The manager said by phone that it had just been serviced and offered to call the repair person back. We said yes, but nobody followed up. Later, we found a month-old review with the same complaint, and they didn't respond to our attempts to reach them. I feel strongly that advertising an amenity that you know isn't available, when guests are already committed to the stay, is fraud. Watch out for that. The cold garage game room, hard beds for the kids, and broken ice maker were smaller things we could overlook. But what will they say was working a minute ago next time?

The rental was very comfortable, with nice furnishings and excellent views close to the water. It had a full-size kitchen and all the comforts of home, along with a hot tub and a big jetted bathtub.

You can get right onto the 804 trail from this amazing location, and the views are great. The beds, though, are awful.
