My Place Hotel - Yakima

There was a tweaker in the lobby while we were checking in. Staff seemed annoyed but didn't do anything about it. Why not call the cops to escort them out? In our room, there was brown, dirty stuff on the sheets. I called down for fresh ones, and they said sure, but I had to come get them. No apology, just poor service. The room felt unclean, and the fridge was so loud it woke me at 4 a.m., even though I'm a heavy sleeper.

After a trip of more than 4,000 miles, this was my last hotel and the best one of the whole trip. The room was huge and worked out really well for me and my two small dogs. I picked up a couple of sodas from the hotel store, ordered delivery, and relaxed for the night. I'll definitely stay at this Yakima location when I come back to visit.

We brought all three of our dance teams here for the State competition and had a great experience. More than 20 rooms were booked, and everyone agreed we'd stay here again next year. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the whole staff was awesome. Special thanks to Ceara and Cody, who were so accommodating and there for everything we needed.

The front desk and cleaning staff were amazing, so friendly, helpful, and hardworking. But that couldn't make up for the large number of unhoused people living there. Before it was cleaned, our room was full of garbage and food and smelled like vomit. It was noisy at night, and we were concerned about the safety of our teens and vehicle. There was a fridge and kitchen area, but no plates, silverware, cookware, or anything like that. For what we paid, it should have been much better. Next time we're in Yakima for state basketball, we'll choose another hotel.
