The staff were what stood out most, so warm and welcoming, and they really went out of their way for us. Our room had plenty of character, with exposed brick, eclectic art, and a classic claw-foot tub. It was cozy, though definitely not a cookie-cutter hotel. We could walk into town to find places to eat. The location was a little off our route, but easy enough to get around.

The kind staff made the stay feel personal, almost like being at a relative’s house. The Main Street Hotel has the character of the city around it, so don’t expect a standard chain hotel. It’s a unique place, and the staff were accommodating and kind.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The old house and rooms are rustic and a little adventurous, so be ready for a room that might not have a window. That was pretty funny for one night. Otherwise, it was clean and practical. You just have to see the place for yourself.

A nice, down-home little hotel with a nostalgic local feel. I’ll definitely stay again next time I’m in town!

If you like old buildings and quirky furnishings, this place is a fun change from the usual highway chain hotel. There’s real attention to detail and lots of history. We had an upstairs room in the very old building, with tall ceilings, and they gave us a fan to help move the AC around, so go in knowing that setup. After 5, you pick up your own key, and Main Street had a bit of a ghost-town feel. We didn’t see another person from 7 pm until we left the next morning. That wasn’t the hotel’s fault, just something to know. The after-hours caretaker was helpful over text, and with a fire station right behind the hotel, its lights on all night, we felt very safe.
