The whole place had such a vibe. We were visiting from TN in October and loved staying at Hotel Pemaquid. The lighthouse, delicious SeaGulls restaurant, and gift shop are all an easy walk away. ♡

The staff were so nice, and this was probably the most comfortable hotel I've ever stayed in. The AC had a motion sensor, but I quickly found instructions for disabling it with the remote so it would keep running. It's a bit of a drive from town, though being right by the water and lighthouse makes that trade-off worthwhile. I loved it so much I'd come back to Maine just to stay here.

The rooms are clean and modern, with excellent plumbing and A/C, but they feel pretty generic and are utterly boring. The real draw is the location: the lighthouse is two minutes away, and you can easily walk there or take the local roads for more scenery. There’s also an adequate restaurant when it’s open. The Maine coast here is incredible, and Hardy Ferry parking is a leisurely seven-minute drive away for Monhegan Island trips. Add another five minutes to walk from the lot to the ferry. It isn’t cheap, but the price seemed fair for the local market. Management was very cooperative when someone in our party turned out to be allergic to a cleaning product used in our room just before we arrived, and helped us move to another room. The management and service were excellent. All the rooms seem to have usable porches, and the ones facing the road have a nice view.

Being able to walk to the light house and restaurant made our stay especially memorable, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. We had our dog with us and found this charming hotel among the few places that accommodated dogs. The owner was exceptionally kind and welcoming. Our lodge-section room made coming and going with the dog easy. It was impeccably clean, seemed newly renovated, and smelled pleasant.

We stayed in The Robin's Nest for the Blaisdell family reunion. The lobby has an old-time feel, while the rooms are modern, and the owner is very nice. Make time for The Seagull restaurant's delicious blueberry pancakes, though they're very large.
