Oak Tree Inn Yermo

The adjacent diner being open 24 hours was handy, and the hotel itself is decent for a budget stay, with interior hallways across three floors and an elevator. We’d booked a king bed, but after driving 500 miles were given a full instead. They said a large group of construction workers had recently booked in for a week. The full bed was comfortable for my spouse and me, though we still had to pay the $10 pet fee. Three stars from me.

The room was spacious, and the beds are the best in the high desert. Housekeeping was warm and friendly, and the morning front desk person was super accommodating about a price match and early check-in over the phone. In person, though, the front desk staff felt cold and a little rude. The hotel is small and clean, but the pool is tiny and needs a good cleaning. The travel site said breakfast was included, but it wasn’t, which was a big disappointment. The only option was the diner, where a simple breakfast cost $8 to $10, way overpriced. If you don’t need anything from the hotel, the stay is very enjoyable.

We’re road-tripping around the States, and this has been our best motel so far. The full gym was a nice bonus, and the staff were cheerful and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The pool could’ve been cleaner, the only small letdown. It’s a great, simple place to stop while passing through, with the basic things you’d expect.

The staff were especially friendly and went out of their way to see if they could meet our needs. Oak Tree Inn is right off the 15, and it’s very affordable, a good place to rest after a long drive. The rooms aren’t fancy, but the bed was comfortable, the shower had hot water, and the noise proofing was enough that we could forget we were beside a highway. Thanks to everyone at Oak Tree Inn!
