The hotel was clean and a good value, but sleeping was difficult because the walls are so thin. Both nights, contractors were drinking noisily after hours, first right outside our door and later in the room next to us. Their oversized pickups also made parking tricky since they took up one and a half spaces. It would have been nice to have a room farther from them.
8/10
The rooms are spacious and clean, and the AC and heat worked well. We were running late, called ahead, and were able to check in at 10 pm without any trouble. There’s no food on site, though a Tex-Mex restaurant next door is open for breakfast. Coffee or tea in the lobby in the morning would have been appreciated.
2/10
There’s supposedly breakfast, but nobody is on site to set it up or help with anything. To pay for the room, you have to call some random number in Florida, and the keys are left unsecured on the counter for people to pick up. I would not recommend this place.
2/10
There was no breakfast, the microwave was broken, and the phone was out of service. The TV remote didn’t have batteries either. This hotel used to be a good one, but now it’s in terrible condition and the service is bad.
10/10
This is my number one go-to hotel in Yoakum, and by far the best one here. The rooms are clean, there are no bugs crawling around, and the AC units work really well. It’s convenient, and the owners are great. Can’t ask for anything else!
