Comfort Inn & Suites York Area

The room itself was clean enough, but the hotel felt like it was only being kept to a basic standard. Carpet tiles were pulling away from the concrete, the outlet covers were gross, and the building seemed worn. I understand that hotels deal with aging infrastructure, difficult guests, and staffing shortages, so that wasn't my main issue. Checking out was a mess. There were no clear instructions, and since this was my first time at the hotel, some direction would have helped. We got to the desk at 10:40 a.m. and saw a sign saying the staff member was helping someone and would be right back. After waiting a few minutes, we packed the car and returned with the keys, but there were more people waiting and still no one at the desk. We searched the floors for help without success. Eventually another employee came by, asked if the front desk manager had returned, and went to find them. The manager finally came back at 11:07, nearly half an hour after we first arrived. Then it took another 5-7 minutes for them to finish with the person ahead of me before I could drop off my keys. We nearly missed our train. I don't recommend this hotel.

Miss B. did a fantastic job with the breakfast service and choices. There were scrambled eggs every day, sweet breads, waffles, and all the usual extras, plus bacon one day and two kinds of sausage. You'd usually expect a hot breakfast this good at a higher-end hotel. Great work, Miss B.! The rooms were nice too.

I was here for work, and this was the worst hotel I've stayed at. The food wasn't quality, pun intended. I bought Doritos that tasted like soap, then they charged me to replace them. Our room keys also lost access twice a day, and when I asked to have the beds made, they only made one. Nothing about the service felt quality.

Booked the same day without any hassle. The room was big, amazingly clean, and a good price. Service always came with a smile. Thank you 🙏🏻
