Joanne went out of her way to make me feel welcome and comfortable at Grace Manor Bed and Breakfast. I stayed in the Mexican Room for a birthday trip, and the room was beautiful, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. From the food and hospitality to our conversations, Joanne made the whole visit feel special. It’s an experience I’ll always remember. Grace Manor B&B really lives up to its name and then some. I hope to visit again soon, and recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

The Swiss Chalet room was huge, with a lovely cabin feel, quirky touches like “Birdy,” a very soft bed, AC, and a TV. It’s on the fourth floor, so getting there felt like climbing the Alps, lol. The bathroom was clean and bright, though I would’ve liked more pressure in the shower. Breakfast was good over the few days we stayed, with cinnamon raisin French toast, egg souffles, sausage links, and strawberry French toast. We also enjoyed the garden and shared indoor space on the third floor, where we met other guests and had a relaxed time. Joanne, the inn keeper, was delightful and accommodating. We started staying at B&Bs for the homey feel and fresh breakfast, and found Grace Manor. It’s a few blocks from the downtown bars, restaurants, and other busy spots. There’s a parking space for guests, and we drove the few minutes into town.

The next morning’s breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in months: baked spiced pear, rum raisin French toast, Italian baked egg, and turkey sausage. Joanne made us feel welcome with a warm greeting, then led us up the stairs to our suite. My husband had surprised me with this trip, so I didn’t know what to expect. He chose the French Suite, and every detail was lovely, from the kitchenette and reading room to the claw bathtub. It felt so much like home that I immediately wanted to move in. You walk along the streets of York, Pennsylvania and suddenly find yourself in a beautiful, quaint row home turned B&B. What a labor of love! We will be back. Definitely stay here, support this lovely local establishment, and enjoy all that York has to offer.

Joanne was communicative and made check-in and check-out easy, explaining the property amenities. The breakfast she made was delicious, and our bed was super comfortable. Our room had a Mexican art and Day of the Dead theme, and everything was very clean. Even the hand soap by the bathroom sink smelled really good. We were pleasantly surprised by this B&B and would stay again. There’s a gated courtyard, but it rained during our visit, so we couldn’t enjoy it. The common room has a TV, board games, puzzles, and books. Guests also have a small off-street parking lot. We’ll come back next time we’re in town!

My first B&B stay, and breakfast exceeded expectations both days. We booked the Mexican suite for the tub, which was wonderful, and the bed was so comfortable. I’d definitely be interested in staying again.
