Sleep Inn

For an economy hotel, this is the best one in Manassas in my opinion. I’ve stayed here several times because it’s affordable, safe, and comfortable. The rooms are really clean and surprisingly spacious, about as big as my old studio apartment, and the mattresses are excellent. Staff are friendly and don’t push you out when checkout time comes. Breakfast is nice, the hand soap smells great, and the self-serve coffee is available 24/7. One time I saw the front desk guy pick his nose several times, so I had to sanitize my credit card and ID afterward. The TV and cable are pretty poor, with analog signal and bad picture quality. There’s no program guide on the remote, so you have to look up what’s on in the TV guide. Water pressure is low too, but those are small issues for the price.

We had a wonderful stay last night. Everyone working there was warm, welcoming, and friendly, and our room was clean, spacious, and had plenty of space for our bags. We loved the hot breakfast in the morning. There’s lots of shopping and places to eat nearby, so we didn’t have to go far, and the price was perfect. There were plenty of outlets, including USB and C charging ports. My son and I are making this our go-to whenever we come back to northern VA.

The room felt a little bare and TV reception was poor. Breakfast was okay, and the overall stay was okay too. During check-in, the attendant was video chatting on his phone the whole time, which came across as discourteous. I also didn’t understand why the front desk attendant had to go up to my room and inspect it before finishing checkout. I’d never encountered that policy before.

The room was decent, but there was no shower curtain. When I asked at the front desk, the person there didn’t know where to get one. I couldn’t change rooms because I had too many bags and it was late. My coworker said his room smelled bad and he couldn’t sleep.
