Alder Lodge

The kitchen needed more attention: the floor was sticky and dirty, and the cabinets looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. The new dryer also took forever, though I can't tell if that's the machine or a vent that needs cleaning. Still, I wouldn't let those things stop me from coming back. It's a short drive to the trails, and you're already inside the park, so there's no waiting to get in. The cabin sits among lovely woods on a hill and had pretty much everything we needed. The guys and my 11 year old son had fun with the pool table, while the girls relaxed in the hot jacuzzi after a chilly day of hiking. We grilled steaks, and used the kitchen spices and coffee. The beds were clean and comfortable, and there were air mattresses, plenty of pillows and blankets in the closet. The bathrooms had shampoo, soap and conditioner, and laundry detergent was provided too.
