The owners were very nice, the rate was good, and my room stayed quiet. It was clean and had a microwave and fridge, though the place is clearly old. Like the online pictures, there were no flowers or pool. Outside, there were weeds, a messed-up driveway, and a generally junky feel. I had to bring my own Lysol wipes. Still, I’d stay again if work brings me back to the area.

It was clean and cheap, but definitely dated, from the furnishings to the odd ironing board hanging on the wall. There was a safe, too. The ice maker wasn’t working, and a guest who seemed to live there said it had been out for a long time.

I was so tired after driving all day with my two young toddlers that I stayed, but I really should have left. The room was one of the dirtiest I’ve ever had. The pillows were all stained and smelled bad, so I didn’t use them. There was hair on the bed and a mark that looked like blood. I also found a fake eyelash in the trash, and the towels had makeup and stains all over them. Now I have a ton of bites, so I’m pretty sure there were bedbugs.

Not everything here is perfect, and you get what you pay for, but they really try to be fair, professional, and accommodating. The rooms were cleaned very nicely, and you can see they take pride in the business. I was relieved by how easy and honest the whole experience felt. The people here respect their customers and make a real effort to help. This is the only hotel in town I’ll keep coming back to for business. I was impressed by how much they care about their customers and their work.

The manager at the desk was pleasant, kind, and helpful. It’s an older motel with rooms that have seen plenty of use, but the beds and sheets were clean, and the AC worked well. We slept surprisingly well. The rooms are separated by brick walls, so not much sound carries through, despite my concerns about some of the clientele. It’s in a convenient spot at the south end of Yreka. There seem to be some longer-term residents. Around midday, I saw a few shirtless men in the parking lot and vehicles in various states of disrepair, but the other guests didn’t turn out to be much of an issue.
