We just needed somewhere to crash during a road trip, and this place turned out much better than we expected for the price. We got three beds for around 80 bucks, and everything was clean and worked. No bugs, no run-down feel, and the noise was very low all night. The beds were comfy, the hot water worked, and there was cable. We arrived really late, around midnight, and the guy at the front was helpful and attentive. I wish I could say I’d stay again, but I probably won’t be back in Yreka. For the town’s best price, this little gem is easy to overlook.

The rooms are worn but clean, the price is right, and the people are friendly. We were the only ones making noise.

The room was a welcome shelter after my 17-hour drive from Washington State. I was exhausted and grateful to get in just in time to escape freezing rain and ice storms. The heavy, snowy slush at the Shasta Summits made driving slow and crowded, so it was a relief to get down to dry, snow-free roads. It’s quiet at night and mostly during the day, with pleasant staff and low rates. The managers and owners are restoring the rooms. Mine was clean and had a new king bed, a wall-mounted TV, and a heater to keep warm. The WiFi is excellent and included. They’re currently offering off-season rates that are very reasonable, and weekly rates are $400 plus taxes. Last week, my room was completely full of cockroaches, flies, and little insects inside the bed. I reported it, was promised a refund, and left. Eleven days later, the motel has stopped taking my calls, and I still have no refund pending.
