Magnuson Zephyrhills

The location was just right for visiting my daughter's house, and I'm planning to book again for my next trip. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast had a tasty range of options, and the room was very clean with a comfortable bed. The pillows, though, weren't comfortable.

Breakfast had a nice selection: eggs, sausage patties, waffles, cereal, muffins, cinnamon rolls, bagels, orange juice, and coffee. This was our second stay at the Roadstar Hotel, where we visit family in assisted living in Zephyrhills. Last time we had an unrenovated room; this time we got an updated ground-floor unit. It seems most or all of the ground-level rooms have been renovated, and the difference was clear. Room 17 was clean, the bed was comfortable, and for a small two-star hotel it was good value. The tidy grounds, crystal-clear pool, and especially friendly, helpful staff showed how much they care about guests. There were a couple of small drawbacks: the eggs were a little rubbery, probably from sitting out, and our room had a faint mildew smell. We couldn't see any mildew, so perhaps it was Florida humidity coming through the A/C. The TV's smart features were disabled. As short-term vacation rental owners ourselves, we understand why, since guests can change settings and cause tech problems that are a hassle to reset. In our opinion, Roadstar is the best value in Zephyrhills at this price. We'll be back. Thanks to the owner for offering an affordable, clean, comfortable stay.

The rooms were clean and nice, and the price was good. I was worried after seeing another review mention bedbugs, but our room was very, very clean and had no bedbugs or other bugs. Breakfast was tasty and amazing. The staff were polite and helped with questions about the area and places to eat. I visited on Halloween, when they had a cute party and were selling jewelry at a great price.

A nice, quiet, clean hotel with a very good breakfast. Our room was clean, and the service was great.
