Hotel Durazno

They charged us 3600 pesos for one night in a room that was falling apart, which was extremely expensive and deplorable. The building and the room’s hygiene were both in terrible shape, so we asked to switch rooms or get a refund. I’d planned to say the man was very friendly, but when we made that request he made a fool of us and told us to go to the Santa Cristina instead.

There are stairs, which might be an issue, but the hotel is easy to reach from the city center and has a lovely solarium and a spacious lounge. The rooms are older, though clean and equipped with the basics. In Room 41, the bathroom was large, the shower immaculate, and there were no unpleasant smells. We lowered the beds a bit because one mattress was worn out. Very 👍

We were traveling by motorcycle and always need a garage, but finding one in Durazno seemed impossible. This hotel let us leave the bike in the hallway by the rooms, and that’s what made us choose it.

It’s not a bad hotel, but it’s showing its age and hasn’t been updated in a while. I’m not keen on the breakfast setup either. I think it’d be better if guests served themselves instead of ordering, since ordering limits your choices a bit.
