Posada Azul Marino

The location works so well, with two world-class restaurants just a one-minute walk away and the charming center of José Ignacio only five minutes away. There are excellent restaurants, bars, and the two incredible beaches, Playa Mansa and Playa Brava, in town. The hotel’s chocolate Labrador greeted us every morning with an enthusiastic wag and lots of love, which brought such warmth and joy to our stay. We had a delightful time at Posada Azul Marino and would happily return in a heartbeat. The rooms are spacious, noticeably bigger than typical hotel rooms, with lovely private balconies that made mornings and evenings special, and we slept so well. The pool area is relaxing and well maintained, with plenty of comfortable sunbeds for lazy afternoons. The bar and lounge are a real highlight, always open, with great drinks and a perfect spot for a cocktail or a glass of Uruguayan wine. Breakfast was fresh and generous, served whenever we woke up with no rigid schedule, and the terrace was a lovely place to start the day. The area is peaceful and close to nature, just outside the heart of José Ignacio. Attentive service and that laid-back local feel made it a comfortable, peaceful base. We loved it and highly recommend it.
