Mar del Plata Hotel - Montevideo

My daughter, our dog, and our cat have been living here for three months, and we love it. It’s budget accommodation, but the kitchenette, pleasant bathroom, and necessary furniture work well for us. Cafes, shops, a laundromat, the beach, and a bus stop are all nearby. The staff are excellent and friendly, and they’re quick to help whenever we need something. Everyone loves our dog!

I hated this place. The owner was unbearable, arrogant, and awful. I was pregnant and had paid four months in advance, but after just one week she kicked me out for no reason. I had a few friends over for about five minutes. As we were leaving, she came to my room, pushed me toward the street, and threw my bags out the window and down onto the street.

The rooms are poorly maintained, the hotel is run-down, and the service is bad. They also use unofficial billing information. The owner’s service was appalling, and she was rude and aggressive. We paid a full month ahead but got no refund for the unused days.

The location is good, but the owner is arrogant and audacious. She’s rude and has no tact, yelling at customers and sometimes insulting them instead of treating them with basic manners.
