Hotel Centro

We had a blast. Great service, lots of awesome stories and mystery. I’d definitely go again.

The location is good, which makes it a shame the hotel is in such poor repair. Our room was tiny and very old, with just one working outlet. The bathroom was a disaster: the faucets wouldn’t shut properly and the drains were blocked, so showering flooded the whole place. They never fixed it and offered, at most, a mop. There were very few towels, and sometimes we had to get them ourselves from reception. The bathroom window was broken, so we had to leave it open. With problems like these, it wasn’t worth the price.

The reception staff were really friendly, and the location is the main plus: central and half a block from the beach. Breakfast was basic, and they assign a 45-minute slot based on your room’s floor. It’s annoying having to keep track of breakfast times on vacation. The sheets and pillowcases were so thin you could see through them, and cleanliness wasn’t great. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The rooms were okay for the price, but the shower leaked into the room and caused flooding. Towels were clearly in short supply, as others have mentioned. Reception staff were very friendly and attentive, a sharp contrast with breakfast staff, who seemed almost military in their manner. The manager shouted derogatory remarks about kitchen colleagues loudly enough for the whole dining room to hear. Breakfast was disappointing, and the serving times were fixed with no flexibility.
