The view is the standout, but on a rainy day there’s very little to do. The pool isn’t heated, there are no activities on site, and even watching TV means activating your own streaming account. We ended up going to Punta del Este. It’s very expensive for what you get, which is practically nothing. For the same money, you could stay at the Conrad and get more convenience, a better breakfast, and a huge heated pool.

The apartments are very comfortable and have everything you need for a wonderful stay in a beautiful part of Maldonado. The view is gorgeous, and the reception staff are excellent. We also appreciated the promotions, which made the stay more affordable. Highly recommended!

The location and the views toward the beach are definitely highlights. Reception staff were kind and helpful despite the problems and the lack of communication with the person managing the apartment. Still, there were too many issues for us to fully enjoy the stay. We had paid in full more than a month ahead, but on arrival we waited an hour because they couldn’t find our reservation and the room wasn’t ready. They said they’d send a welcome message with breakfast hours, but after waiting a few hours we had to call reception to get it. At breakfast, they also didn’t know we were guests. The ground floor lacks privacy: with the window open, people can practically see the whole apartment. None of the TVs were smart or had regular channels, the bathroom was small, and our private pool was less maintained than the others. They may sound like small things, but they add up. Architecturally it feels like a commercial building with little care for detail. I wouldn’t recommend it without reservations.

Breakfast is served at the other Syrah complex down the road. The apartments each have their own heated pool, and the complex faces the ocean, Gorriti Island, and Punta del Este. A wonderful place.
