We had a lovely spot, but bed bugs in our cabin put a damper on the stay. The owners got back to us quickly and are dealing with it, and these things can happen anywhere. I’d still recommend the place, but check that the cabin has been treated with insecticide before booking, and inspect the mattress when you arrive.
I visited one cabin and found it badly neglected. The bathroom had old grime that wouldn’t come off, and there was barely room for anything. It wasn’t worth the rent. A bad experience, and I wouldn’t go back or recommend it.
The cabin is charming and has what you need for a really relaxing break, with a great location too. I did worry about safety on the steps. The entrance stairs need a handrail like the ones inside, and the walkway to the cabins needs more light, especially around the first cabin's steps. It’s dark enough that someone could trip, fall, or get hurt. That’s my only criticism.
Only a few blocks from the beach, this three-cabin complex has its own parking. Our cabin came with Wi-Fi, cable TV, a few books, and dishes and linens for four. When the shower broke, the owners fixed it that same day, at no extra charge. $$.
The cabin has a lovely view and all the basics for a good stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, a wood-burning stove, and a grill. Rivero Beach and the convenience store are nearby. Still, upkeep could be better: the blinds were broken, a pipe rattled like an alarm about to go off, and the balcony roof was cracked.
