The owner is friendly, but the rooms smell, aren't clean, and have a lot of mosquitoes. The mattress is old and stinky. That's a fact, not revenge. At 8 am, the cleaning woman starts in the kitchen, so you have to be ready with everything by then. I've never seen that in two years of traveling. Tell the cleaning woman to come at 10 am instead of starting in the kitchen at 8. I don't recommend this place even for 20 US dollars.
The location made it easy to walk into town, and the supermarkets and beaches were close too. Mati & Ceci were warm, helpful hosts and very relaxed about checkout. And Colita, the hostel's handsome dog who’s scared of rain, was adorable 😍
It was easy to meet and chat with other people here, and the breakfast was nice. The kitchen and rooms were comfortable, with a couple of supermarkets nearby and the beach just a short walk away. Mati, who more or less runs the hostel, is funny, always ready to help, and brings a personal touch to the place. He has such a kind heart. Thanks for being so welcoming, Mati. If I come back to Punta, I’ll stay at Hué again :)
The staff are really friendly, and the hostel was comfortable with all the amenities I needed.
The food was especially good, and the service was lovely. Staff were always ready to help. One of the women noticed I was working on a personal project and even offered me a screwdriver so I could finish it. Such a lovely place.
