The beds were super comfortable, the room was cleaned really well, and the AC kept it warm. Ours had two beds and a large balcony, though it was too cold to sit out there. It’d be lovely in summer. There was a mini bar with snacks and drinks for purchase, plus a microwave, utensils, and what you need to eat in the room. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, soap, a shower cap, plenty of towels, and a robe for the pool. There was cable TV, but it wasn’t a smart TV. We used the pool around noon on Saturday, when it was quieter. It was warm, a good size, and really nice. The sauna was great, with staff nearby to help with the temperature. I also used the gym treadmill, which worked fine, and there was water available. Breakfast was included and good, though the coffee was too watery for me. They sell specialty coffee, which may be better. Booking and paying were easy and affordable. I booked directly with the hotel on WhatsApp, which was cheaper than booking sites. They replied quickly and kindly, and let me pay for one night in advance and the other at check-in. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the hosts were friendly. The hotel also had room service. Breakfast runs from 8am to 11am, so you could miss it if you get up very early or late. The restaurant was closed for low season in Punta del Este, which meant we had to go out for lunch and dinner even when we would have preferred to stay in. Still, it was a nice stay with good amenities and friendly service, and I’d recommend it.

For the price, it’s worth staying here, and parking is good. The staff are lovely, helpful, and available around the clock. The rooms are clean and fine, if not especially large, but they don’t have much character. The pool is indoors only, which isn’t ideal in summer.

The balcony was really nice, breakfast was okay, and the staff were kind and attentive. But the price didn’t feel justified. I’d heard this used to be a great hotel, though it seems the pandemic may have hit it hard. My room was dirty, with broken, grimy blinds and a worn mattress that sagged in the shape of a person and was very uncomfortable. The bathroom smelled like a dirty public pool. You could hear everything because the construction and furniture felt cheap. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, so streaming Netflix or anything else wasn’t an option. The TV was tiny and poor quality. This doesn’t deserve four stars.

I was there for work and needed somewhere to sit and work in the room, but there was no desk, table, or chair for that, and the hotel had no meeting or business room. The dining room was closed, so I had to go out every night to find dinner. Breakfast starts at 8am, which was too late for me because I was already at work. This seems more like somewhere to visit in summer and enjoy the beach.
