The owners are really friendly, and breakfast is very good. Rooms only have the essentials, though they do include a bidet. But for a hotel right by the terminal, it's unacceptable that they don't even provide shampoo!

It's a modest hotel, with older rooms that are clean. The location is a standout, and the staff are very friendly and attentive.

The service is what stood out to me at Hotel Americana. The staff are incredibly welcoming and always happy to help, and it's well located in Punta del Este. The breakfast was average, not bad, just nothing special, and could use more variety and better quality on some items. Wi-Fi works in the common areas but barely reaches the rooms, which is a real hassle if you need to stay connected. Fine for a short visit if internet access isn't a big concern, though a few improvements would make the stay more comfortable.

They should make the Wi-Fi more reliable. I'd also add shampoo in the room and some fruit at breakfast.

The location is hard to beat, with La Vista and the Punta del Este area half a block away, Mansa Beach one block away, the port a 15-minute walk, and the city center one block away. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast is simple but fresh, and the shower has a good flow of hot water, though it's tiny. The rooms feel straight out of the 1980s and need maintenance and renovation. Rain brought in mosquitoes that ate us alive, so would I return? No.
