It’s in a good spot facing a square, but I felt the price was high for what they offer. The service was terrible, and the hotel staff were disgusting and very rude, including the room cleaner. I wouldn’t come back.

Serrana made a great first impression when I arrived, and the staff even sorted out a transfer I needed. Traveling alone, that kind of help really mattered. The Hotel San Martín feels homey, the bed was comfortable, and it’s right in the middle of Punta del Este. I had an excellent stay and will definitely come back.

The thing I’ll remember most is how welcoming everyone was, with a smile every time we came in. Grace and Javier were especially kind: they helped us get oriented, lent us an adapter, and sent us off with pastries. The hotel was spotless, and the shower had strong, perfectly hot water. It’s a small place with a big heart, in a great spot close to the center and everything else. I’d happily stay at the Hotel San Martín again and recommend it for a lovely vacation.
