Dunyo Palace Hotel

We were six adults and six children, and after booking the previous evening through Airbnb, we arrived with confirmation only to be told the hotel had no booking for us. We called the host, Dilomor, who also said she hadn't received it. When we said, as tourists, we'd need to involve the police, they then claimed they'd found the booking but had no rooms. After an hour, they sent us to another hotel, where we had to pay again. We're now waiting for a refund from Dunyo Palace. This was a total scam in my experience. Think twice, then don't book here.

The room was clean, the bedding was good, and I slept well. We had two bottles of water, a refrigerator, and an air conditioner that worked well. The toilet was clean, with adequate water pressure, and the pool was very pretty. The hotelier was so kind and used a translator to work out what we needed. He seemed able to speak languages besides English, too, and kept checking that we were comfortable. The hotel is between the Summer Palace and the Old City, so it's quiet and pleasant. Breakfast was served generously, with lots of variety. I'd like to come back when I visit Bukhara again.

The service was awful. They spoke to people in a really rude, uncaring way. I wouldn't recommend it at all.
