The reception staff were nice, but the room made it hard to sleep. The pillows were absurdly tall, around 30cm, and so stiff I couldn’t use them. The blanket was ridiculously heavy too. It’s a cheap place, so I didn’t expect much, but those pillows and that blanket made getting any rest impossible.

We booked through booking after looking at the photos and reviews, but on arrival they moved us to a different building about 100m away. It was dirty, the room was tiny and smelled moldy, and the dusty courtyard wasn’t appealing. Internet worked only in the main hotel, not where they put us. We wouldn’t pay $58 for that stay, so we found somewhere 1.5 times cheaper that was much nicer and friendlier. I gave two stars because the main hotel building looked nice.

The room could have been cleaner, there was a little dust. Wi-Fi was available only at reception and on the terrace. The staff were always ready to help, and the location in the old citadel is perfect, just a few steps from the Tash Khovli Palace.

It’s a low cost hotel in Khiva, and the location is good. But the Wi-Fi had too many problems, and I couldn’t stay in the room and relax.
