The hotel stay in Khiva was very good. The comfort, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. We also booked an Aral Sea trip through the hotel, with transport to Nukus, a transfer to an off-road vehicle, and a night in a yurt by the sea. That itinerary went as planned and the trip itself was well organized and unforgettable. When we got back to Nukus, though, we found out there was no transport back to Khiva. We hadn’t said that we wanted to finish in Nukus, and assumed the return to Khiva was included. We also missed that the printed itinerary left off that last leg. The hotel knew we needed to get back because we’d left some luggage there. It was probably a misunderstanding: one person handled the initial arrangements, then someone else finalized things after the first person had to leave. The price was high enough to cover transport both ways. The confusion may have come from our not clarifying the terms or checking the itinerary carefully, but the hotel could explain its offers more clearly to help prevent this happening again. I’d recommend that anyone read the trip itinerary closely before booking.

Nadir, the owner, is a historian, and the hotel’s decorations are relics. It’s inside the city walls and close to all the sights, and you shouldn’t miss the rooftop. The rooms were superb, clean, and welcoming, with newly done bathrooms and excellent water pressure. For a small hotel, the breakfast spread was exceptional. Absolutely outstanding.

As someone who lives in Khiva and knows many places here, I was still deeply impressed when I visited Oasis al-Khiva Boutique Hotel with some guests. The staff were so kind and polite, and their genuine care made me feel like a friend or family member from the start. The rooms are quiet and clean, decorated beautifully in a traditional style. The rooftop view, calm atmosphere inside the ancient city walls, and delicious breakfast all fit together wonderfully. I’m proud to say this hotel represents Khiva so well. If you want peace, authenticity, and heartfelt hospitality, I highly recommend it.

The owners were helpful, and the breakfast was good, especially the coffee from the proper coffee machine. It was better than anywhere else we stayed in Uzbekistan. Our room was large and comfortable, and the hotel is close to all the sights of Khiva.
