After a week traveling in Uzbekistan, where everyone else had been incredibly nice, this was my only bad experience. We hired him for an Aral Sea tour and agreed on a price of $600-650. When we got back, he asked for $700. We told him that wasn’t what we’d agreed, and he became very aggressive. I found the owner deeply disrespectful and felt he had lied to us and taken advantage of us. I’d avoid this hotel and tour operator.

The hotel is an easy walk from the airport, though it’s a bit far from the city centre. Rooms were very clean and cozy, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was decent. If you’re looking for an Aral Sea tour, ask for Ayap. He hangs around there and is a really knowledgeable, fun guide.

The breakfast was awesome, and their tea is better than any I’ve had. Everyone was so friendly, and the city and people were amazing. A very nice hotel!
