The breakfast was passable, but it couldn’t make up for the rest of our stay at Osiyo Plaza Hotel in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The room was cramped and uncomfortable, and the beds were so hard it felt like sleeping on a sidewalk. A foul smell kept coming from the bathroom, making it hard to relax. We also found trash left in the room when we checked in, along with old, stained pillows. The exterior looked promising and the lobby was inviting, but the room’s condition was disappointing. I can’t recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, enjoyable stay in Samarkand.

Not a good stay. The room still wasn’t ready at 6 pm, and the toilet was dirty.

The rate felt too high for the standard of the room and service. The lobby looked nice, but the room and especially the bathroom didn't match the photos. Though the room looked clean at first, the sheet was torn and the cushions were dirty, as if nobody had noticed. The shower was old and very basic. At checkout, the desk staff member spoke no English and the process dragged on. The man seemed completely lost, which was stressful because we had to get to the airport. We left around 7:30, when the breakfast room was still closed, so I wondered how prepared they were to serve breakfast.

We spent three days in Samarkand on a business trip and stayed here. It was quiet and not far from the center, and we liked the hotel. Breakfast was acceptable. One thing that stood out compared with other hotels was that there was hot water.

It felt like a home, and the staff were great. The place was clean, though breakfast was just average. The location was fantastic too, with two Indian restaurants about 0.5 km away.
