Hotel Zilol Baxt

We spent one night here with our daughter. The staff were kind and very polite, and we were grateful for that. The location is very good, and the hotel was very clean. We also used the pool for free. We’ll definitely choose this hotel again on our next trip to Samarkand.

The interior has a Silk Road feel that takes you back in time. It’s a romantic place in a lovely city, and most of the tourist attractions are within walking distance.

I’d be happy to stay here again if I return to the city. The room was very clean, the bathroom spotless, and they even brought our baggage to the room before check-in. The receptionist was kind and helpful. I hadn’t booked this hotel myself. I was sent here after the hotel I originally booked had overbooked and had no room for me. The day before, I’d had a similar situation and got caught at checkout, so I was worried about whether the original hotel had paid the bill. The receptionist reassured me that I didn’t need to worry because the payment issue was between Zilol Baxt and the other hotel. After the unpleasant experiences I’d had at previous hotels, hearing that made me really happy. I also got sick during the night, and he kindly brought me extra water.

I arrived with a confirmed booking, but was told there wasn’t a room for me. The room they moved me to was dirty, smelled bad, and had empty bottles lying around. The receptionist spoke to me in an extremely rude and disrespectful way. I didn’t feel safe, so I left that same night. Now they’re trying to charge me $90. Completely unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs.
