Staying here felt like being back in your hometown. The place has the feel of an authentic Uzbekistan home, and the hospitality was so good. The owner is friendly and helpful, the location is great, and lots of restaurants are close by. Worth the price!

Iskander is what made this house special. He speaks English, knows so much about Samarkand, and is always up for a chat. His whole family welcomed us like their own, and we’ll be back ❤️ The house is in a great area for seeing how locals live. There are plenty of restaurants just minutes away, as well as banks, a bus stop, and food shops. A taxi to the city center costs around 1’50e. If you want an authentic, good value guesthouse in Samarkand, this is a great choice.

Our twin room was clean and spacious, with windows looking out onto the green garden. The family guest house has a lovely central garden filled with trees and planted vegetables. Iskandar was the most amazing person we met in all of Central Asia. He went out of his way to help and share information. If I return to Samarkand, I’ll stay at this beautiful family guest house again.

Iskandar is one of the best people I’ve ever met, and he was incredibly helpful with advice. The place is cozy and a short distance from the center. You can cook there, and there are also good spots for plov nearby. This is the place to stay in Samarkand.

I travelled with my husband and our 4 yrs old toddler. Iskander kindly let the car rental provider from Kyrgystan park the car at his property before we arrived. He speaks fluent english and shared lots of Samarkand history, along with very good tips on places to eat and areas to visit. The property is clean, and his teenage grand daughter Sharafat was always keen to keep things in order. We had a simple but very clean room with 3 single beds. There’s no AC, but an electric fan was provided. Even with 32 to 36 degrees outside, the wooden ceiling kept the room cool. Our toddler enjoyed the common area and meeting travelers from Spain, China, Canada, and France. Laundry is available, and breakfast can be arranged on request. Restaurants and shops are close, and taxis are available for the tourist spots. The property is owned by Iskander and managed by his family. I highly recommend this guest house for a visit to Samarkand Uzbekistan.
