I had to move rooms eventually, and the second one was a little better, though not by much. That room also went uncleaned for two nights. In the first room, no one cleaned for four nights, the toilet wouldn’t flush unless I opened the cistern lid and did it manually, and the shower was barely more than a trickle. I nearly broke my leg trying to reach the room at night with no lights on, and had to use my phone to see and open the hotel door. Absolutely terrible, don’t stay here if you’re going to Samarkand.

The bathroom was a real letdown: cramped, with a door that wouldn't shut properly and no proper shower, just a loose knob that looked ready to fall off. The room was uncomfortable in the summer heat because the air conditioning barely cooled it. The carpet was worn, and the floor still creaked underfoot even after it was installed. The whole hotel feels very old, and renovations are long overdue but haven't started. I wouldn't recommend staying here until they make serious improvements.

I was charged $600 for a $60 room, and the staff haven't responded for months. The room had no drapes, its lock didn't work properly, and there was a smell from the bathroom plumbing. Construction was still going on next door.

The rooms were okay, but the staff weren't very friendly. Breakfast was a joke, they didn't even have fresh bread. At $60 a night, it doesn't feel worth the money. Hotels in Samarkand are pricey, unfortunately, but this place doesn't even seem to try.

The bathroom smelled really bad, and I had to ask them to check it and fix the pipes. I stayed for three days, and the receptionist was always away. Breakfast was poor too. The hotel needs to change its manager and keep a closer eye on service, because it isn't customer oriented.
