Sabrina Mini hotel

It's in a quiet neighborhood, close enough to most attractions. The courtyard is a lovely place to sit and relax, and the dining room is beautiful. Rooms are bright, airy, spacious, and clean, and breakfast is great. This is what a very comfortable non-luxury hotel should be: it gets everything you need right without showing off.

The staff were so helpful, accommodating, and flexible, even when we made requests at the last minute. The hotel isn't quite in the city center, but taxis find it easily, and getting to the main tourist sights takes little time or money. Breakfast was great, and there's a coffee machine for anyone who doesn't like instant coffee. I'd happily stay again.

This is a family-owned hotel, not a chain, and they even offered a breakfast lunchbox when we had to leave very early. A thoughtful touch. The courtyard is lovely, the beds are really nice, and breakfast has lots of good options. It feels like an occidental-style hotel with a touch of Uzbekistan. Getting into the center is easy, and there are also restaurants and mostly non-touristy places you can walk to. I recommend staying outside the center because guest houses there are built on destroyed family homes, and I'd rather avoid supporting more destruction of the traditional housing that's left. You can also try for a good last-minute deal on booking :)

I've stayed at Sabrina Hotel on two separate, non-consecutive nights, in two different rooms, and would gladly stay a third time or longer. The location is quite good, in a somewhat quieter part of town, especially if you have a car. Breakfast is simple, but what I'd expect in Central Asia.
