Shahram Plus Boutique-hotel

The staff made the stay for us. They were quick to help with anything we needed, and the owner was kind, approachable, responsive to our questions, and gave us useful recommendations. We also found the rooms spacious, clean, and well cared for, with a comfortable place to unwind after exploring. Breakfast was good and filling. The location made getting around easy, close to key areas and very convenient. We had a wonderful stay, would book again when I'm back, and definitely recommend it. Five stars.

The staff were the highlight, really warm and willing to do whatever they could to help. When I got sick, they went out of their way for me and made sure I was comfortable. They also brought extra blankets to make the mattress softer. It's about a ten-minute walk to Registan and most nearby sights. I'd recommend this hotel for a Samarkand stay.

They even got breakfast ready before the usual time and packed it for our early departure. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, especially Begsat, who did a lot to make us comfortable. Our room felt cozy, was clean, and had a pleasant atmosphere. The hotel has excellent amenities. Highly recommend it.

Breakfast was terrible: very little choice, no fresh food, and nothing got replenished, not even the coffee. The water for coffee and tea was dirty and smelled of detergent. We ended up going to a nearby bakery for breakfast. Our room also never got cleaned, the trash was left there, and nobody asked if we wanted housekeeping. The free laundry meant doing and hanging the clothes ourselves. The bed linen was extremely dirty, possibly stained with blood. The airport transfer we'd booked didn't have a driver waiting in arrivals, so early in the morning we had to take a taxi, which was unpleasant and cost more. During our ten-day stay, the broken door handle we reported to reception was never repaired, and the WiFi was quite slow. The room did have a large bathtub, and the location near the city center was good, but I strongly don't recommend this awful hotel.
