We paid $512 in cash for four rooms over two nights. We hadn't expected to need cash, but card payments failed for all but one of us, even after trying 7 cards, Visa, Mastercard, and Amex from six different US banks. My US bank said the hotel's bank hadn't even submitted the payment request. With a train to catch, we got frantic waiting for it to be sorted, and the staff didn't seem familiar with the problem. I had brought plenty of USD, fortunately. We booked late, so our choices in Tashkent were limited. The hotel was better than average, though not as nice or well priced as several places we'd stayed. There's a bakery across the street and a restaurant down the street. The road isn't a main one, but it stays fairly busy even overnight. Staff helped us get taxis at reasonable rates. Being on the airport side was useful when one person in our group didn't get their bag and had to return after airport staff figured out who had picked it up by mistake.

On our final night, we asked to use the pool and sauna a little outside their usual hours, and management kindly made an exception. Other guests caused a minor disturbance in the pool area, but staff stepped in quickly and calmly, and the issue was resolved smoothly. They showed good management and real concern for guest comfort. We had a very pleasant stay, and I'd recommend the hotel.

On our last day, management let us use the pool and sauna around midnight, even though that was outside the normal hours. There was some disturbance from other guests who weren't behaving properly, so we alerted the authorities. They dealt with it professionally, without unnecessary drama, cleared the area, and we could use the facilities in peace. The staff were respectful and supportive, and focused on guests' comfort. That situation showed us the hotel was well managed. We had a very good stay and I'd recommend it.

The hotel is clean and lovely, and the staff are helpful and communicate well. Some other guests were stopping people from using the shared sauna and pool. They were men who seemed to be Russian or Turkish, with their family, and they tried to threaten us and the receptionist. Staff handled it well and let us use the area. The service was very good, and I'd recommend staying here for a holiday. Don't believe the baseless reviews, the situation was handled very well.
