The daytime receptionist was super helpful, but sadly the rest of the stay fell short of what we’d hoped for. The hotel has seen better days, and it feels like some investment could make a real difference for guests. The restaurant is a big problem in the evening. It serves breakfast and lunch, though some days it only offers breakfast, and there are very few other places to eat nearby. On Sundays, KFC was the only option. Our bedroom felt tired. The floor was gritty when we arrived, and the windows didn’t seal, with a hole in one pane of broken glass. We could hear staff chatting in the courtyard. The bed itself was comfortable. The bathroom sometimes smelled of drains, and that smell carried into the bedroom. Silicone sealant seemed to have been used as a fix over the years. The toilet seat was only partly attached to the bowl, and the water supply failed once. A real pity.

The upstairs restaurant served a delicious breakfast, and the hotel is within walking distance of the ferry terminal. It’s a beautiful old-fashioned place, especially well located for market days. The staff were friendly, and the towels were nice. The Wi-Fi was strong and the air conditioning worked well.

Our waitress was very helpful, and the service was good. The restaurant itself was very dark, though, and getting to the bathroom meant going outside through the alleyway.

The ladies at the front desk were always pleasant and courteous. This hotel has the amenities you need, plus a rooftop restaurant and bar where you can get all your meals. It’s a great option right in the middle of town, whether you’re here for business or to explore this small, quaint town.

The cobblestone’s best feature is its location, very close to the ferry terminal. Our room was clean, though nothing special, and the price was affordable, so you get what you pay for. Service was great: they let us switch rooms to get away from the street noise. It’s a great place to stay if you miss the last Bequia ferry.
