The Lighthouse Villas

The room was clean and had AC, plus a fridge/freezer, gas stove, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. The stove was a bit old, though. There’s also a small grocery store a short walk away. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the view of Cane Garden Bay was outstanding for the price and location. Just know the place sits up a very steep hill. The walk wasn’t too bad for us, but there’s no elevator to the third floor. The hot water heater is small, though after a day in the sun we didn’t really want a hot shower anyway.

Our apartment was cleaned daily, and the balcony had a really nice view. The villa is close to the shore, and the owner was friendly, attentive, and very helpful. The downsides were an old gas stove and occasional water pressure issues, including times when there was no water at all.

After staying at a number of places around the island over many visits to the BVIs, this is still our favorite boutique hotel. Cane Garden Bay beach is gorgeous and only steps away. It’s a small, well cared for hotel, and the condos work especially well for longer stays. The prices are reasonable for what you get, and the owner is delightful. I’d highly recommend it if you’re staying on Tortola.

The view of Cane Garden Bay alone makes this place worth staying at. It’s so lovely and peaceful, the rooms were very clean, and the staff had ours ready when they greeted us.
