Tran Vinh Hotel

The hotel is a little pricey, but I think it's worth it. We arrived around 3:00am without a booking, and the staff helped us, took payment by QR code, and showed us straight to the 5th floor. Our room was clean, airy, and very spacious. At breakfast, the woman in the kitchen fried eggs just for me and gave me hot soup. So nice. The location is a bit tucked away, but taxi drivers know where it is.

A neat, clean place, around a 2 to 3 star standard. The Daikin split AC was fine, and the room and shower were acceptable. The main downside was noise from the nearby hawker market and early morning traffic.

For 500,000 dong a night, it's a clean, comfortable place with helpful, friendly staff and reception open all night. The elevators all worked, and the lobby was spacious and well furnished. Rooms are medium-sized, with a desk, TV, armoire, nightstand, stocked minifridge, AC, and full bathroom. Breakfast is included. It's a little meager, but there's an okay spread and an omelette and fried egg station with a chef. I'd stay here again and recommend it. The Cong Tu Bac Lieu museum is a three-block walk away. It's more like a strange, once-grand house with an odd, sparse collection of unlabeled, uncurated stuff than a museum, but worth a stop to look around.

The hotel is pretty good and fully equipped, and they replace the toiletries every day. Breakfast is free, with a small buffet on weekends. I was on a business trip during the COVID season, when the price had been adjusted to be quite cheap.
