Aurora Hotel Plaza

The buffet kept me happy for two weeks, with a decent mix of Vietnamese and Western dishes and enough variety that I didn’t get bored. The hotel is in a very urban spot beside Bien Hoa Vincom mall, with shops and services just steps away. Staff were warm and welcoming, and quite a few could speak English, which is handy for foreigners. The room was only so-so and felt old, although it had the facilities and appliances I needed. A makeover would help.

Lots of cafes and coffee shops are nearby, and the hotel is close to the industrial park in Bien Hoa, Dong Nai. The front desk staff were excellent, and some spoke good English. Everyone was helpful. The gym and pool are on the 14th floor and stay open until 10pm. Breakfast could be better, but lunch was good. Room service is available if you request it.

Vincom, with its supermarket, is only about a two-minute walk away, and the location is the best. The hotel feels a bit old and isn’t luxurious, but it’s comfortable and suitable. People are kind. For facilities, I’d put it second among hotels in this area of Dong Nai province.

The whole hotel feels very old-fashioned, though it is clean. I was there for business and wasn’t expecting a scenic area, but I still wouldn’t stay here again. The gym is okay, unless staff aren’t around, in which case working out is miserable because there’s no air conditioning. Breakfast was really poor. Leaving was the best part of my stay.
