I left despite the manager finally agreeing to let me stay, because by then I’d had enough of the back and forth. I’d unpacked, repacked, and gone elsewhere. I had planned to extend my overnight stay to five nights, so another hotel got that business, and this place got a negative review. The surrounding area was dirty and noisy too, and I’d definitely avoid this hotel. When I arrived, I got no friendly greeting, just a hasty demand to move my motorbike. After I moved it, a staff member said I couldn’t stay because I had a dog. I pointed out that the hotel advertised itself as "pet friendly" on Booking.com, where I’d made a reservation the hotel had accepted. He made several calls over the next few minutes. First he said it was okay, then, after I’d unpacked, he said it wasn’t possible. I showed him the Booking.com listing, and although he eventually said it was fine, I’d already decided to leave. The management’s conduct was disgraceful.
