We came as a couple from Ho Chi Minh City by Grab taxi, and getting here was easy. Mekong Lodge gave us a relaxing break in the middle of our city holiday. The setting and hotel are beautifully designed, and the place’s philosophy felt very much in line with our values. It was clean, quiet, and well looked after. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the stay went smoothly. The food was fresh and delicious, with a good selection that included vegetarian dishes. Highly recommended!

The Mekong views were amazing, especially at sunset, and the lodge itself was a great place to stay. Our transfer from Saigon and all the tours were well organized. The set menu had wonderful, authentic food. The hard bed was a downside, and the farm right behind our house was incredibly noisy in the mornings.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the free bikes made it easy to explore. We arranged a fishing trip, then they cooked our catch for dinner. There was more fish than we could eat, so they happily prepared the rest the next day. The boat pickup and drop-off both went smoothly. The Mekong Delta views and sunsets are beautiful, and the food was very good. The cocktails were big and cold, too. The resort felt a little run down and could use some TLC.
The large pool was excellent, and the warm pool beside our room was really pleasant. One thing to know: at high tide, the hotel paths are under water, sometimes up to your knees. We didn't mind too much, but if you don't want to walk to dinner in flip-flops, you should know about it beforehand. It's a shame this isn't in the booking details. We stayed two nights, and the total cost felt very high and unreasonable for Vietnam. The place is isolated, and bicycles are the only transport besides a boat. When we asked about a boat transfer to town, the price we were quoted seemed unreasonably high, so we ended up eating at the hotel. The food was quite expensive and only average. The staff really did try their best, and our room was perfectly fine. This is probably one of the better places around, though I can't really compare because I'm not sure what other hotels of this level are nearby. We tried the massage and liked it. We also booked the three-hour canal and market tour on the Mekong. It was enjoyable, but after traveling in northern and central Vietnam, it felt too touristy and a bit uncomfortable. I wouldn't skip a tour altogether, but I'd arrange one independently or through one of Vietnam's many professional travel agencies.
We spent New Year’s Eve at Mekong Lodge and had a fantastic family stay. The place is great for relaxing, and the staff were so friendly and supportive with all our daily activities. My kids loved the swimming pool, and the guests created a polite, peaceful atmosphere. The food is cooked in a traditional local style. It was a little sweet, but just right for my taste. I’d love to see more local sweets at the breakfast buffet, like Chè đậu or Chè chuối. A great getaway, highly recommended!
