My flight arrived early in the morning, so I chose somewhere nearby and booked a room that included breakfast. The staff kept telling me breakfast wasn’t included, both during the night and again the next morning, even after I showed them my booking details. I asked them to check again, but they just said it wasn’t included and didn’t seem willing to look into it. The woman at reception was especially upsetting. I was dealing with a serious issue while she laughed and chatted with a coworker. I didn’t want to keep arguing, so I gave in and paid for breakfast. I then asked Agoda to help resolve it. Agoda emailed to say they had spoken with the property and that the problem came from a staff mistake. When I showed that message at reception, they refunded me, but there was no apology or even a sorry expression. They also said it was the owner’s fault, not theirs. The staff service was poor.

We came as a family of five and had both double rooms and triple rooms with extra beds. This is actually THE ARENA RESORT. Google Maps shows different names because many owners buy apartments and rent them out, but the place is still part of the resort system. The grounds have lots to offer: a large lobby with sofas and chairs, a huge infinity pool and jacuzzi open until 8 PM, and a gym. The condotel is right by the beach, with white sand and blue water. Swimming is allowed until 6 PM. There are also activities, mostly Friday to Sunday, along with plenty of restaurants, a spa, and an afternoon night market for snacks. Our rooms were beautiful and comfortable, with private toilets and bathrooms. Getting settled was a bit awkward. We first went to the wrong building lobby, waited for reception, and then found out check-in was in a different building. There weren’t enough support staff, so the service wasn’t ideal. Our booking said a welcome drink was included, but we didn’t get one. They also required a 500k VND deposit, to be paid at checkout.

I booked through My Real Trip, but they hadn’t confirmed the reservation when I arrived. After checking several times, I was left waiting in the lobby for about 30-40 minutes with practically no help. Eventually, they took me to a room where the key was already in the door, which made it feel like they were putting me in a spare room. Nobody explained the checkout time or what to do with the key. They asked when I planned to leave and told me to leave the key in the room. Then at 8 am they rang the bell to ask when I was leaving and repeated that I should leave the key there. It was a very unpleasant stay, so I’m writing an honest review.

The price was acceptable and the accommodation itself was quite good. The pool is large, and the beach is nearby. There are two buildings in the same chain. If you book a condotel through Traveloka, you’ll probably be placed in the Light building. Service was decent, and Light was less crowded than Sea.
