Casa Eco Mekong Homestay

The bungalows are spacious and really nice, and the spot itself is pleasant. But it's far from everything, so you'll need to bring or rent a scooter. The restaurant is expensive, and there isn't much nearby to eat. The TV wasn't working when we visited. We were there during the Tet holidays, and the staff didn't seem happy to be working. They did our laundry and lost my microfiber towel. I think they mix items from different rooms together and then don't know what belongs to whom. I only realized the towel was missing after we left. We emailed, but got no reply. When we passed by again two weeks later, they still couldn't find it. They offered a large white towel, but I couldn't take that while traveling light by motorbike. They then offered to pay for the towel, which cost $23. The receptionist said they could give me $20, and I agreed, but they kept discussing it for about ten minutes. Finally, she told us that to get the money for the replacement towel, we had to delete our Booking comment. It wasn't even that negative, I had praised the resort and only mentioned losing things in the laundry. That felt very strange, and I didn't think they were in a position to bargain that way. We went along with it because we didn't want to make a scene over a towel. Since we couldn't post another Booking review, we're rating the resort here instead. It's sad to have to deal with this because of their mistake; it wouldn't have happened if the laundry had been handled properly. I'm giving two stars because the place and rooms are nice, but the staff situation was disappointing. The receptionist was really nice and tried to help, and since she was the only one who spoke English, she had to handle all of this. We feel sorry for her, because this was the manager's fault, not hers.

It's a quiet place outside the city where you can relax. The bungalows have plenty of room and are lovely for chilling out. We rode the free bikes around to see the local villages, though the bikes need maintenance. You'll need a taxi to get into town.

The restaurant at Casa Eco resort is very nice, with good food and service. The coffee wasn't good. It's a relaxing spot, and you can spend some time wandering through the gardens.

I like the place, but the electricity and water need fixing. It needs more voltage and stronger water flow.
