Hotel 101 Can Tho - Gần Bến Ninh Kiều

The location is handy, with lots of plazas nearby, and the workers were very nice and helped us unload our things. The rooms looked clean to me, and there was plenty of soap in the bathroom. But the AC barely cooled and kept rattling like something was loose inside. The bathtub slanted so oddly to the left that I nearly fell while showering. This doesn’t feel like a 4-star hotel. It only meets the basic standard, maybe a little more.

I won’t return to Ninh Kieu 2 Hotel in Can Tho, and I can’t recommend it. The management was the worst part: instead of sorting out the problems, they tried to charge us more unfairly. The stay was extremely disappointing, with awful service and unfriendly, unhelpful staff. Our room was filthy, dusty and stained all over. The bathroom water was dirty, and the broken faucet was hard to use. Despite the high price, they also added unexpected fees without a clear reason.

The price was very good, but I’m not sure this place deserves to be called a 4-star hotel. It’s an older hotel, and the room seemed to have the basics. Still, there was a moldy smell, and some pillows had yellow stains. 😭👌

The service was pretty good. Workers came within minutes to fix things, but this many problems shouldn’t be happening in a hotel. I’d never stay here again. We were a family group of 11, meant to stay for two nights, but barely made it through one. We split into two rooms for groups of two and one for three. In the room with three people, the AC leaked an insane amount of water, at least 3 litres. One of the two-person rooms had mold on the wall. In my room, the AC ran but barely cooled, even at its coldest setting. I switched rooms twice. In the second one, the shower didn’t work and the AC still wasn’t working. In the next room, the bathroom door wouldn’t open at first, and the AC wasn’t working there either. On the morning we left, ringing the doorbell made the bathroom light flicker, and water was leaking from the bathtub opposite the shower head. My brother tried using the gym. When he took the bar off the rack, the rack fell over. Luckily, he caught it and pushed it back up. The bench wasn’t bolted to the rack and just tipped over. People were also allowed to smoke freely in the hallway by the elevator.
