Tru by Hilton Hau Giang City Centre

A hotel in Vi Thanh that meets global standards!

The front desk staff were thoughtful, friendly and enthusiastic. Ms. Ngoc in particular gave excellent service and made us feel very welcome. The hotel was clean and beautifully designed, though the breakfast was quite simple and not very tasty.

The people of Hau Giang were unbelievably friendly, and the town was lovely to explore on foot, especially along the canals. Locals often greeted us, asked for selfies, and young people wanted to practice their language skills. Hau Giang isn’t really on the tourist map, but we were glad to discover this hidden gem. We chose the town partly because it has a Tru, a Hilton brand we’d wanted to try, and stayed four nights. At Tru, the staff and management were wonderful. Ms. Ngoc went well beyond her job to make sure we were happy, and we were very glad we chose the hotel. Our standard twin room was small but clean, comfortable and functional, not cramped. The lighting and automatic window shades were nicely designed, and the shower had great pressure and temperature. Lockers are available for extra luggage, though we didn’t need one. I especially appreciated the clean laundry room with washers and dryers, and my partner was impressed by the steam iron. Breakfast was simple but added value, and both the noodle bowl and pho were excellent. We also enjoyed light dinners and snacks from the menu, a nice amenity since the town doesn’t have many full restaurants, though the local food stands are tasty. The staff’s friendliness will always be a wonderful memory of our time in VietNam.
