Highlands Hotel Cao Bang

The place was clean and good value. I was traveling with a young Vietnamese couple, so we had two rooms. The hotel arranged transportation for three different trips for us, which I appreciated. I was glad my Vietnamese friends could talk through the arrangements, though, because nobody here spoke English. Well, almost nobody. There were two cute curly-haired kids outside who spoke a little. I think they were the owner's sons. Both TVs turned on, but the main menus were frozen, so we couldn't watch anything. I liked that the beds used duvet covers, but there were no blankets or comforters inside them. The air conditioners seemed to blow cold air without really cooling the rooms, which was strange. Would I come back? No, I'd try somewhere else and be willing to pay more.

It's clean and comfortable, which made a good first impression. The centre, including the pedestrian street and restaurants, seems to be within walking distance.

The staff were really helpful, including with my vegetarian food requirements. The rooms were spotless, the beds very comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was super fast. I'd absolutely stay again.

The room suited me well. It was clean, and the heating worked properly. The shower water was warm, though I would've liked it hotter. I'd come back.
