We felt at home as soon as we arrived at Victoria Châu Đốc Hotel. Our clean, well-kept room was a comfortable size, and the water view from the balcony overlooking the river made it especially relaxing. The hotel’s location, friendly staff, delicious food, and lovely atmosphere all came together beautifully. Meals were consistently very good, with plenty of variety, and the spacious, elegant restaurant was thoughtfully designed. The restaurant staff were outstanding. We also enjoyed speaking with the General Manager, Mr. Tuan, whose professionalism and gracious manner reflect the care the hotel gives its guests. We wholeheartedly recommend Victoria Châu Đốc Hotel and would gladly stay again.

We had a suite with a fabulous balcony overlooking the river, and the view was the best part of the hotel. The spa treatments were very good. Since lots of tour groups stay here, it can feel a little impersonal.

My expectations were quite a bit higher when I booked and paid. The hotel felt overpriced and mediocre, and the rooms were old in a tired way, not a classic way. Someone suggested upgrading to a river-view balcony room, but the balcony was tiny and dirty, its door latch didn’t work, and there was no privacy at all. The very basic gym was full of mosquitoes. It seemed no one had bothered to spray for insects.

Our street-facing room was quite loud, with no soundproofing, and our toddler struggled to sleep. When we asked reception if we could move to a quieter room, they replied, “your room is city view”. How can someone work in hospitality and show so little empathy toward a guest?

The team greeted us with warm smiles, and the service was very good. Victoria Chau Doc has a wonderfully relaxing feel, with the Mekong river views all around. Such a lovely place to enjoy a trip to the Mekong Delta. Recommended.
