Mr. Khoi and his wife were kind, welcoming hosts and happy to answer our questions. The food was very good too. The rooms are quite basic and could use some refurbishment. It’s a lovely homestay not far from Saigon, with beautiful, spacious grounds to wander through. There are ponds, flowers and all kinds of tropical plants, which made it a relaxing break from the city bustle. I’d recommend it for a simple countryside escape and an easy way to explore the Mekong delta region.

A good place to recharge before carrying on with our travels. It’s on a family farm, about a 30-minute walk from the nearby village and a snake farm. The room was clean, in good condition, and everything worked well. The hosts were lovely, and their broken English was enough to make ordering meals and arranging excursions easier. Breakfast and dinner were good and made as we requested. The shower and toilet were in a roofless adjoining room, and there was only cold water. We got used to the temperature pretty quickly.

After about half a day riding from Saigon on a motorbike trip around the Delta, my friend and I stopped here for a night. The animals wandering around, little streams and wonderfully hospitable hosts made it feel like paradise. I’d lived in Vietnam for about a year, and this was easily the most delicious food I had there. They served plenty, though we finished it off fast. Ask the owner what’s nearby, there are a few quirky things worth checking out!

A lovely little place for kids to play outdoors, surrounded by nature. The family who run the farm were friendly and welcoming, and the food and drinks were good value with a decent selection. You can choose an air-conditioned or non-air-conditioned room. The farm is around 1.5 to 2 hours from HCMC, depending on traffic. The owners arranged a return car for us at a very reasonable price. It’s a convenient family escape from HCMC.
