D Home Da Lat 2

I booked a room and motorbike rental at D Home Da Lat for my family’s 2026 Tet holiday, back in October 2025. I’m writing this because of what happened during the stay, especially with the bikes and the caretaker. All four motorbikes we got from D were very old and badly worn. They had no luggage racks, weak headlights that made riding in the dark unsafe because we couldn’t see the road clearly, loose mirrors that spun around, slippery worn tires, and damaged panels that rattled and made a frightening noise. The page acknowledged my complaints but didn’t do anything. One bike broke down during our trip, and when I asked for a replacement, the caretaker was dismissive. The next day another one stopped in the middle of the road. Since repair shops were closed for Tet, I asked D for help, but they couldn’t help, so I had to ask locals. Back at the house, the caretaker said the bikes hadn’t been serviced for over 1.5 years and there were no replacements because we had traveled long distances. D’s reply that the vehicle was fine when we picked it up doesn’t resolve this. Battery and engine problems only show up while it’s running, not by looking at it, and that response leaves customers with no choice. There was also a serious problem with the room. The owner of D Home had a dispute with the actual house owner, who took the house back and stopped renting it to D. Because of this, the housekeeper was no longer employed there, but she still knew the room password. She entered my room twice while I was out and took my belongings without permission. I messaged D asking for them to be returned, but they weren’t. When I contacted D’s page, she called and angrily accused me of saying things about her. My aunt said she had only asked the page to return the items, without blaming or speaking harshly to the housekeeper. I asked the page for an apology on her behalf, but they only acknowledged my message and I still haven’t received one. I also overheard her speaking badly about me to the owner. She must have thought I’d checked out, but I’d only returned the bike and was still there, so I heard it. The trouble started on the morning of the 3rd. I picked up a motorbike and everything seemed fine. Around 2 PM, while I was out sightseeing, the page messaged to say there were no rooms available. I had to go back to find out what was happening. Other guests who had already checked in or were due to check in got similar messages saying there were no rooms or they had to give them back. It took a while to understand that the owner and the actual house owner were in dispute. Guests were put through unnecessary back-and-forth, and in the end the house owner took the property back and stopped renting it to D Home. Honestly, this review wouldn’t exist if the housekeeper had apologized. She was at fault, and it was awful to hear her badmouth a guest.

It’s in a quiet spot that’s great for relaxing or a weekend away, and the hours are flexible. The homestay is clean and nicely decorated, and the host was really friendly and helpful from beginning to end.

The grandparents were so welcoming. The house itself was clean, roomy, and airy. Thanks for having us, and I hope I can visit again soon ❤️

DHome has become one of my favorites. The room was spacious, lovely, clean, and looked just like the pictures. The owner replied to my messages quickly, and the housekeeper was warm and friendly. I was very satisfied and will definitely return someday!
